Initial Sketches

Physical Construction

After cutting the wood to roughly 1m square, we drilled holes in the pattern of phi (The Golden Ratio).

We drilled holes to fit the speedrail and mounted the brackets.

We attached the speedrail and installed the bungee cords.

The bungee was attached to eyelets affixed to an intermediary level inside of the base.
Piezo sensors were mounted just above the eyelet offering ideal vibration sensing.

The breadboard consists of 3 PIC18f452 chips, each sending a channel of MIDI to Max/MSP.
The breadboard was hidden inside of the base, below the intermediary level where the bungee is attached.

We pulled the hood and mounted it atop the speedrail.
